Hi friends! In just 2 days, you guys donated over 15,000 candles to WNC. We hand delivered those candles to communities with the highest needs: Asheville, Black Mountain, Swannanoa, Marshall, Burnsville, Bakersville, Spruce Pine, Newland, Lansing, Warrensville, Crumpler, West Jefferson, Boone, Marion, Morganton, and our hometown here in Sparta.
All of these locations were thrilled to receive candles, and almost every donation location said we were the first candles they’d received. However, at the moment, these facilities are completely full from being inundated with supplies. So we have decided to give them a few weeks to use some of these supplies before we reach back out to see if more candles are needed.
In the meantime, we are pledging 10% of sales for the month of October to go to fellow small businesses in WNC who are being impacted by loss of tourism during this important time of year.
I cannot tell you how HAPPY folks in WNC have been to receive these candles. Thank you endlessly for your generosity.
